Hair plays a significant role in every individual’s life, especially youth. Hair can change a person’s look to a great extent, but all this does not come for free. One needs to take a great care of his hair using home hair remedies. There are different types of hair like dry hair, oily hair, balanced hair etc. Each hair type needs different home hair treatments and care. There are many products available in the market that boasts for their superior quality and worthiness, but many of them are synthetic products, which may cause some problems in the long run. Don’t get disheartened by this, you can use natural products for grooming your hair.


Tips for Hair Care:
To a large extent, your hair reflects the general state of your health, so for your hair to look good it is important for you to be healthy yourself. Make sure that you eat a balanced diet, with more vegetables and fruits, and less meat and fat. Your fiber intake should be high, and you should limit your intake of oily food, caffeine, and alcohol.

Some useful Home Remedies for Healthy Hair:
*You can use natural hair care products like henna, shikakai, lemon, coconut oil etc. for hair care. Rinse dry hair in lemon juice to get back the lost shine.
*Mix apple cider vinegar with water to get shiny and bouncy hair.
*Apply honey on your scalp to solve the problem of tangled and frizzy hair. Mix honey in two cups of fresh cream to create an excellent natural hair product for dry hair.
*If you have got dandruff, prepare a solution by mixing 1 teaspoon of castor, mustard and coconut oil each and massage and apply into the scalp.
*Take amla (100gm), shikaki (100gm), brahmi booti (10gm), shilajit (1/2 gm), anaarchhilka (20gm), bhringraj (10 gm). Soak them overnight in an iron utensil. Blend and make a paste. Apply well into the scalp. Keep it for 1-2 hours and wash it off with warm water.
*Two tablespoons of fenugreek (methi) seeds soaked overnight in water. The softened seeds should be grounded into a fine paste in the morning and applied over the scalp & left for half an hour and then washed thoroughly. This is highly affective to remove dandruff.
*Add 6-8 drops of lemon juice to an egg. Beat well and apply on your hair followed by washing with a herbal shampoo.

How to get rid of Hair Loss:

Hair loss can be dreadful and embarrassing for both men and women and can affect their psyche and self-confidence. Alopecia is a condition in which hair is lost from the scalp and also other parts of the body.Most of the time hair will grow again without any treatment. But if the hair loss is excessive and causing distress, it is best to get it tested and treated accordingly. If bacteria or viruses are the reasons, they should be treated. The presence of dandruff and lice also warrants treatment. Some of the medication that are used in treating hair loss include minoxidil, steroid creams, cyclosporine, and topical ointments. For hair loss prevention the best thing to do is to reduce stress factors that aggravate the loss. It is also a good idea to avoid alcohol based hair products as they dry out the hair. Do not use leave- in conditioners excessively.

Treatment for Hair Loss:
*A vigorous rubbing of the scalp with fingers after washing the hair with cold water is one of the most effective among the several home remedies for the prevention and treatment of hair loss. The scalp should be rubbed vigorously till it starts to tingle with the heat. It will activate the sebaceous glands and energise the circulation of blood in the affected area, making the hair grow healthy.
*Onion has also been found beneficial in patchy baldness. The affected part should be rubbed with onions morning and evening till it is red. It should be rubbed with honey afterwards.
*Daily application of refined coconut oil, mixed with lime water and lime juice on the hair, prevents hair loss and lengthens it. Application of the juice of green coriander leaves on the head is also considered beneficial.
*Washing the hair with a paste of cooked black gram and fenugreek lengthens the hair. Regular use of castor oil as hair oil helps the luxuriant growth of the hair.

How to cure Dandruff:
The term dandruff generally refers to the condition of the skin wherein shiny, silvery scales separate from the scalp and collect amidst the hair. Seborrheic dermatitis is quite a common skin condition that affects the scalp causing an itchy scalp and scaly or flaky skin and stubborn dandruff.When the hair is combed or brushed, or when the scalp is scratched, the scales from the scalp fall like snowflakes and settle on the eye brows, shoulders, and clothes. These scales sometimes appear as lumps or crusts on the scalp. This is most commonly seen when the individual is suffering from dry dandruff. However, people with oily dandruff will observe different dandruff symptoms as compared to those with dry dandruff.

Treatment for Dandruff:
*Aloe Vera helps in healing the scalp, balances the PH level of the scalp and cleans the pores. A mixture of Aloe Vera gel with wheat germ oil and coconut milk promotes hair growth and reduces dandruff.
*Warm 4-5 tablespoons full of wheat germ oil, olive oil or coconut oil. Massage well into the scalp. Wrap a warm towel around your head. Leave it on for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair thoroughly with water, to which lemon juice has been added. Massage well as you rinse.This will helps to get rid of dandruff.
*Take half a cup of chickpea flour(Besan). Add to this a little curd and enough water to make a thick paste. Apply on the scalp and individual strands of hair. Leave it on for 30 minutes. Rinse vigorously with warm water.
*Crush a tablespoon of fenugreek seeds in about 5 tablespoons of warm coconut or olive oil. It would be better to boil them in the oil. Cool the mixture and apply generously all over the scalp. Leave it on for two hours. Rinse and wash off.
*Take 10 grams of black pepper powder. Add to it the juice of a fresh lime, along with a quarter cup of milk. Rub this mixture thoroughly into your scalp. Leave it on for an hour and wash it out thoroughly with the water.
